James Blunt’s first concert in Lebanon took place in February 2009 at the Forum de Beyrouth and was sold out. James Blunt returned to Beirut on June 27, 2011, for a concert at BIEL. All the profits went to the charity organization Tamanna, whose mission is to grant the wishes of children between 3 and 18 suffering from critical illnesses. A young girl whose dream was to meet James Blunt had the chance to go on stage with him and said it was the most beautiful moment of her life.
James Blunt is a well-known English singer-songwriter. His debut album, Back to Bedlam, and singles including “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover” brought him to fame in 2005, with 11 million copies sold. His repertoire is a mix of acoustic-tinged pop, rock and folk.
